Nora's Surgical Summer

Nora's summer went fast this year for her. This summer Bernice, Dolly and Nora cut fish in her new smokehouse. She cut about a hundred or more chums. But she was too late for the king salmon run because she had to take Gerald in to Anchorage to have eye surgery. They stayed there for a week and came back after Gerald's eye was removed. When they came back she cut more fish for the winter. After she was done cutting fish she went out for a boat ride back behind the mountain to pick some berries. She picked about two gallons of blueberries. After she was done picking berries, on their way back to town they saw a black bear. Weegie shot at it a couple times but missed.

She hopes she will be more ready next summer for the king salmon run. And she hopes she'll be able to cut them at her fish camp. She hasn't been to fish camp for a long time and she'd like to stay there for a whole summer to cut fish.
