Fire!

Just before school was out, Leo watched local firefighters put out a tundra fire below Pilcher Mountain. The fire was caused by an overheated four-wheeler muffler and burned a small patch of tundra above the trees about a mile from Marshall.

After school was out, Leo worked at the school remodeling the bathrooms and then putting in the platform for the new garage that will be built this fall. He also raised one of the houses since it was slowly tipping over from the soft soils here.

He also went out commercial fishing in July and subsistence fishing too. There were a lot of fish although prices were low. But it was a good change from working at the school.
