To Bethel for the Fourth of July

"This summer I went over to Bethel for the Fourth of July. It was a lot of fun for me because there were a lot of people at the Brass which is a place where a lot of people dance in Bethel. Most of the people there were from the Kuskokwim but some were from villages on the Yukon. We had to pay four dollars to get in the P.A.T.C. which is another dance hall. But at the Brass it was seven dollars. I went in free though because my friend paid my way.

When I was over there I stayed at my grandma's place some of the time but most of the time I stayed at Norma's house on Tundra Ridge. I had to walk to my gram's from Norma's house. It took me half an hour to get there this way.

My cousin, Shawn and I stayed out all night just walking around most of the time. About one week after I got there Shawn met this girl named Niha Ayagalga. She was my old girl friend. Then the next day I came home to Marshall by plane."
