Nick's Summer Conference Trip

This summer Nick Isaac and his family attended the Russian Orthodox Church Conference which was held in Pitka's Point on July 10,11, and 12. Out of those three days, Nick was there for the last two.

In the mornings and evenings Nick attended the church services. In the afternoons there were priest meetings, deacon meetings, and reader meetings. Nick attended the reader meetings.

"There weren't that many people who attended the conference this year, but there were people from all over the Lower Yukon and some from the Kuskokwim area. Bishop Gregory was there and also Father Innocent, who is now our new Bishop Innocent. On the last day there was a big meeting which everyone attended. The Bishop's report, the report on St. Herman's Seminary, and the report on the new Bishop who was supposed to be consecrated were discussed in that big meeting."
