A Very Wet Boat Motor:A Very Wet Boat Motor
A couple days ago Jason Isaac and his uncle Jacob went out goose hunting at Big B. Big B is a small side slough inside of Takchak Slough. On their way there, about five bends into Takchak Slough, they saw a young bull moose watching them. The moose watched them for a couple minutes, then it ran alongside the beach for about 50 yards and then up into the trees. When they reached Big B they saw Fred Fitka and Bill Manumick getting ready to head home from hunting. So Jason and Jacob went over to their place where they would hunt too. But after many hours of hunting they decided to head for home because there were hardly any geese. About three miles inside of Takchak Slough they hit shallow water and their boat motor flew off. At first Jason thought the engine hit Jake because he was driving. Jason asked him if he was hurt but he said he was alright. Luckily, the engine was tied onto the boat or else they would've lost it completely. They then pulled the very wet motor up from the water and paddled to shore. There Jacob worked on the engine, let it dry out and then continued on their way home. Told by: Jason Isaac Interviewed by: Theresa George ![]() | |
