An Adventure up Willow Creek

This past summer I went on a bunch of fishing trips up Willow Creek. But there was one special trip when Chris, Ben, Upa-boy and I went fishing there with my boat. It started as a good fishing trip. We stopped at a few places where we knew there were some fish. After we caught some Pike we decided to go where there were Chums spawning. On our way to our destination we came across Nicholas Boots, Marcia George, and M.J., so we stopped to ask Nicholas for some fish eggs so we could try fishing for white fish. After fishing for awhile we went up the stream as far as we could and then began walking up the creek.

After walking a ways we decided to hunt for black bears instead of fishing for massaks (spawning salmon) and white fish. But Ben and Chris were short on shells so they told Upa-Boy to go get their shells. When he returned he only had Chris's shells. Chris, Ben and I had our high power rifles. Ben brought his 7mm, Chris brought his 30-30, and I had my 22-250. But Upa-Boy only had a rod and reel. Now what was he going to do to a bear with a rod and reel? Whip it, snag it, or poke it?

Further upstream we found a bear trail that didn't look too old and a fresh half-eaten fish. After seeing that fish we started to get scared because the trees and grass were getting kind of thick. After we got to a gently sloped rocky bank we stopped and waited for awhile and wondered if we should go any farther upstream. We finally decided to go upstream but after a little ways we chickened out and started to go back to the boat. While going back to the boat we tried to shoot at some fish but kept missing. As we were walking to the boat I wanted to be at the end of the line so the other guys would knock the water off the grass and I wouldn't get as wet. After we got to the boat we decided to go home because it was getting late. On our way back Ben and I were trying to get Chris and Upa-Boy wet by shooting in front of the boat and splashing them.
