Theresa {Terri} Evan had an exciting summer. After school was out her daughter Flora returned, and the family spent most of their time at fishcamp. Tern said that fish camp has never changed and it is still mostly the same as in past years, but this summer she had a different experience at her camp. Tern's daughters Flora and Debbie would go out fishing and Vernon would drive the boat, and they brought the fish back for her to cut and smoke for the winter. That way she filled her fish house with mostly kings and chums.

Terri also went out berry picking on the tundra with her girls. She filled most of her buckets with salmon berries and blue berries.

One day at fishcamp, after she was all done doing this and that, she looked out the window, and there on the beach she saw a mama moose and two baby calves. That same day it happened to be her birthday, June 14. It was such a blessing to see those animals. Her granddaughter Anna was so excited to see the moose she said she thought one of those calves looked like a donkey.
