Teresa Kameroff's Same Ol' Summer

"I spent my summer doing almost the same old things I do every summer. I usually cut fish at the beginning of the summer, but this year I waited until later on during the summer. This year I decided to cut fish here at Marshall with Gail instead of at our fishcamp. I enjoyed cutting with Gail. We cut a lot of fish and we helped each other out. On some days, I'd smoke the fish and on others she'd smoke them. Clem and Art would get the wood whenever we ran out. After all the fish were dried, we put them away. I wanted to cut more fish because I knew they wouldn't last us all winter. Julia and I decided to cut fish together. This would be my second time putting away fish. I enjoyed it and we aren't quite done with them yet. They are still smoking because they aren't done. I also spent my summer helping Clem when he went commercial fishing, usually when they had Chum openings. And that was about all."
