Sophie Shorty's Summer

This summer Sophie did a lot of things. One thing interesting she did was take a boat ride down to Pilot Station to visit her mom, sisters and brothers. She also went out on picnics with her husband Katemal and kids. When they went out on picnics, they brought the kids out swimming at the same time. She also cut a lot of fish and went out logging for firewood. When she went out berry picking she especially had a lot of fun. But she said that her Fourth of July weekend was boring because there was hardly anything to do.

"My summer wasn't too bad, but it went by too fast," she told me.
