National Guard Summer

This spring Joey Coffee went to Ft. Ord in California for desert training. Every morning they did a lot of physical exercises there and they also played a lot of war games. He had to qualify and requalify for certain weapons like the M-60 machine gun and he also had to take part in National Guard drills.

After he got home, he did things like play basketball here in town and at Russian Mission. He also went to Bethel a few times to shop and have fun. When he got back he went went duck and goose hunting. His favorite thing around here is going rod and reeling at Wilson or Willow.
