"This summer I spent most of my summer at fish camp, like Ido every summer. James and I commercial fished, cut fish, and sometimes we brought my grandchildren, Aaron and Scott along. My brother, David, and his wife, Christine, and their kids were our neighbors. We had fun living together in camp with the kids, and we always had something to work on. We would also take steams every other day or whenever we felt like it. James and I had no radio or T.V. , but we had so much to do we had no time to get bored."
"This year we had only one bear at camp, a Black bear. At firstI though it wouldn't pay any attention what was around our camp.. But it got in my steam house twice cause the door was open. I think the bear liked it because it looked like a cave, and he probably thought it could serve as a cave.
"We had many visitors during the summer who dropped by tosay hi or just visit. One day people from Fairbanks even stoppedby to visit. They were on their way up north."
"My kids like fish camp, but as they get older they don't seemhave any interest to be there too long."
"I also went out berry pickingwith my sisters and myfriends. I tried to pick as many berries as I could. When Iwasn't picking berries or at camp, I was at home with my kids or grandchildren. I had an interesting summer."
