My Mom's Summer

"This summer my family and I got to go down to Mountain Village for a few days to pick berries. We didn't get to go out berry picking till the next day. My mother-in-law showed us where to pick some berries. The place where she brought us was called Clearwater. There were a lot of blue berries there, we got to pick about a bucket of blue and salmon berries."

"The second place where we went to pick berries we had to climb up a long ways to get to the tundra. It was tiresome, but we ended up filling our bucket with blue, salmon and some black berries. When we got tired of picking we climbed all the way back down to the beach and ate. While we were eating a boat came. It was Herman's brother, girlfriend and kids. So we ended up staying for awhile talking with them. Then we decided to head back to Mountain Village."
