Fran Evan's Summer

Fran's summer was fun, she said. She enjoyed cutting fish, commercial fishing, berry picking, and especially the warm weather. She went berry picking at Chowkartolik, a slough across from Pilot Station. It took them six hours to go to the area with a 40 horsepowered engine. She enjoyed the fresh air, the scenery, and seeing different animal Commercial and subsistence fishing for her and her son, Garrett, was pretty good.

The things she did'nt like about her summer were the mosquitoes,

muddy floors, and the rainy weather.
