Doug Fairchild's Summer

Doug Fairchild came to Marshall to work on the A.V.C.P housing construction. His job is to do carpentry for the new houses. He is originally from Kansas City but he resides in Anchorage. Doug has been here for the whole summer and he's leaving on September eighth. He said that he enjoyed his summer here. In fact he said that he likes it here a lot better than Anchorage, but sometimes he gets homesick. During his free time this summer he read books, watched T.V. and listened to music.

He said that if he had a chance to come back to Marshall, he definitely would. Marshall is the only village on the Yukon that he's been to. Doug likes his job because he gets to see a lot of Alaska. And his only dislike is that he has to work out in all kinds of weather, even if it's raining, snowing or sunshine!
