Auntie Ruth Ann's Summer

In July Ruth went on a one night camping trip during which she went out and picked about four gallons of blue berries."It was fun," she says," but it was really hot and the trip was too short." Her month went by so fast that it was already June before she knew it. In the month of June her husband, Willie went out commercial fishing and caught some fish. He also caught a lot of subsistence fish, and when the summer was over, Ruth had forty-five cut and smoked King Salmon, and about a hundred Chums to put up too.

During her month off she would also go traveling with the family. They went to Bethel for the Fourth of July, and they also went to other smaller villages to visit with friends and family.

Ruth said that it was fun to have a month off from work so that she could spend time with the family, relax andgo where she pleased. She took her time doing things instead of rushing and running back to work. She took her time think things over instead of rushing around.

She came back to work at the clinic, where she is an aide, after finishing her summer work. But was very boring working in the clinic when everyone else was working outside and going camping.
