Auntie Gail's Summer

Gail's summer began the first day school got out. She traveled to different villages and also went out picking berries. Altogether she picked about three gallons of blue berries. She and her husband Art went to Bethel for the fourth of July. They also went to Russian Mission for a wedding and to Pilot Station for another wedding. So her sumnmer was full of travel.

She went to the graveyard here in Marshall with the family for picnics and also down to the bluffs at Takchak She also went on swimming trips with the family. They went to sandbars on the Yukon River and to a clear water place called "Kempbalutchii", which we call "Kemp" for short.

They went to fishcamp and visited with her mom there. While at camp, Art would go out fishing for King salmon to eat at suppertime. Gail would then cut and dry them for the winter. Gail had fun this summer.
