A Mischievous Moment By: Darcy Kameroff

My summer vacation began after I came back from Mt. Edgecumbe. Nothing really exciting happened until later on in the summer. My family was invited to a wedding at Russian Mission. My friend Kelly and I were both up there which made it a lot more fun. We hung around with a couple of our friends, David and Alex. There was a dance which wasn't really fun, and after the dance, the cop was sending everyone home.., but we didn't go home. Instead we ran around town with the cop right after us. The first place we ran was up a hill that had a lot of trees. We were trying to get to the top, but the cop outsmarted us. We ran away because we did NOT want to get caught. If we got caught, we would have to do community service. Anyway, we ran down the hill to the other side of the town. There were trees surrounding the village and it made it a lot easier for us to get away from the cop. We ran along a road which led to a garden. We knew the cop wouldn't follow us but we went there anyway to make absolutely sure we got away from him.

fter we were all rested, we decided to go back to the village. We were all thinking that by then the cop would be home. So we all decided to go by the city office and sit around. Alex had a weird feeling, and when he took a look around the building, there, standing very still, stood the cop that was longing to catch us. Alex immediately came running back to us, telling us the cop was right around the corner. Then he, David, Kelly and I ran into the trees, and we didn't stop running for about three minutes. We decided to wait and rest in the trees until we all caught our breath.

About ten minutes later, we decided to go back to the village. We figured that by this time the cop would be home. We all gave a sigh of relief because we were very tired. Then we all decided to take a walk to the airport and hang around the hanger. While we were there, a red button caught my eye and I was so curious that I pressed it. All of a sudden... and it started all over again.
