Stormy Weather

When I was younger, my whole family and I (except Porky) went to RSM for their races in February. On Sunday, my parents asked me if I wanted to go home by plane. I didn't want to, so they let Everett go back by himself in the plane.

On Monday it was very stormy, and Vassily Sergie was going to lead us halfway back to Marshall. Jerry Boliver, Alan Boliver, and Herman George were also with us. As we were following Vassily, he and his snow machine went into a ditch. The ditch wasn't that deep though and he got out of it alright.

Then Herman George and Vassily turned around and went back to RSM because it was too stormy for them to see the trail.

But the rest of our group went on, although we had to stop and look for the trail a lot. My dad asked Jerry if I could ride with him because there was too much weight on our Tundra and we kept on getting stuck.

Several hours later, Jerry, Alan and my dad recognized where we were. We were beside Mt. Pilcher in one of its side valleys. When Jerry finally saw Marshall, I remember he really put the pedal to the metal coming home.

It took us eight hours to come from RSM to Marshall because of the weather. It was the longest ride I've ever taken by snowmachine.
