Gloria Fitka

Cook

Gloria is a cook at the Marshall school. She works for the LYSD. She went through nine months of training down at Seward, Alaska. She got her four years of High school education at Mt. Edegcumbe.

She works most of the time in the kitchen five hours a day, five days a week, with Angelina Coffee. Her boss is Roger Adams, the principal. She expects to work until she is fifty. Her job responsibilities are: be on time in the mornings, have food ready on time, and, most of all, get along with people. The regular salary, if there is no deducted tax, is $1400.00 a month.

The best things about Gloria's job are being able to cook and working with the staff and students. The worst thing is cleaning up, but it has to be done. The advice she is giving to everyone is:

"Don't waste time with your life and go make something of yourself. There is ALWAYS something special you could do better than others."
