Ellen Alstrom

Maserculiq Inc. Bookkeeper

Ellen Alstrom is a bookkeeper for Maserculiq Corporation. The kind of training needed for her job was basic bookkeeping. Ellen has a high school and college education.

She works in the gas station most of the time. Her hours of work vary from 4-6 hours a day, five days a week. Ellen works by herself and with the gas attendants. Her boss is both the Maserculiq Board of Directors and Floyd Striassing who is the general manager of the corporation.

Four of Ellen's job responsibilities are keeping records of all cash flow, doing the payroll, recording maintenance, and doing accounts receivable and accounts payable.

The best thing about her job is working independently, and she enjoys it that way. She also likes the challenge of balancing her books because it's kind of fun. Grouchy customers, too many phone calls and correcting other peoples' mistakes are the worst things about her job.

Ellen's advice for the young people is to stay in school, and take your education seriously! If you do this, you'll have something better to look forward to when your'e done with school.
