Too Old to Play

My name is Snoopy and I'm a puppy dog.

On a rainy April afternoon I saw a bunch of little kids playing by a strange narrow looking house. But then that didn't bother me. I just decided to run away from my owner and play with the children. We started playing games and I decided to stay with the kids instead of going back to my boring old owner who doesn't like to play. When the children's mother asked where they got me from they said they stole me from the Soolook family because they didn't have a dog to play with. So my little new owner named me Snoopy.

As I got older they made me sleep outside where it was cold and scary. So I started howling really loudly hoping someone would come and get me. But when a strange women came out, she said, shut up! So I looked away from her and lay down and fell asleep until morning came.

In the morning when the kids came out, I was happy again and started barking. They came over to me and gave me some morning dog food. It was gross because it was mixed with different kinds of food. But I just ate it really fast so I wouldn't taste it. But it filled my stomach up. Then I lay down for awhile and took a nap. A little later the children came over and unchained me. I felt really happy and started running around in a joyful way. I wagged my tail and licked the childrens' mouthes and noses. As I got older the kids took walks with me on a chain instead of setting me loose because they thought I might run away. When we came back from the walk they tied me up, and I was lonely because they didn't play with me anymore. I guess they thought I was too old to play with. Once in awhile they brought me to the airport though, so I could protect them from bears and other animals.
