Hello! My name is Silver and I'm a
watchdog. I am a six dog years old and I was born in the
summertime. I live in the Boliver's yard. I have a lot of
playmates. Their names are: Pepper, Candy, Lady, Dixie, Lulu,
Rockcie, Barker and Blue.
My favorite foods are anything except cabbage,
potatoes, celery, and
lettuce. I really like moose, fish and birds. I
eat every day and sometimes my food is nice and warm on cold
winter days.
All day long I watch out for strangers and
people I don't like. I also watch for other dogs I don't like and
don't know that come around the house and the yard.
I sleep in my big empty dog house all by
myself. Sometimes my littler playmates sleep with me. But now they
are all tied up, so sometimes I get really lonesome and cold on
windy nights. Even so, I'm a tough dog and I can make
it.
On some days when my owner's teacher and his
dog take a walk up to the tundra, I go crazy and start jumping
around and bark at them really hard. I always wish that I could
get loose and run with them.
A lot of little kids try to come and pet me,
but I get mad and start barking at them and they get scared and
run away from me.
The reason I got so mean was because my oldest
owner used to play with me really rough when I was just a little
puppy. Plus my mom was a watchdog so I am just like she was except
that she was always loose. She taught me a lot of things about how
to be a good watchdog.
Now I really like being a watchdog because my
owner praises me when I bark at the people who come around, but
sometimes I get scolded because I sometimes bark at the wrong
people.
I get really happy when my owner comes home, or
when she gives me lots of food, and when she cleans my house if it
is full of ice and snow in the winter. I really like her because
she takes good care of me.
I love to get loose and run around because most
of the time I am tied up so that I won't run away. But I do
sometimes escape and run around.
Some people think that I'm part wolf but I'm
not. I'm part German
Shepherd and part one of those teachers big
dogs.
Well that's my life story. I hope you enjoyed
it as much as I did.
