How The Raven Got Black

A long time ago, the raven was originally a white bird. He and the owl were best friends, but they both also had a very big crush on a beautiful swan. They liked her so much they would bring her flowers and fresh foods everyday.

One day when they were both bringing her gifts at the same time, they became so jealous of each other that they got into a big fight. The fight lasted for a couple of days. The owl was so jealous he shoved the raven into some soot, and then the raven threw mud at the owl. By the end of the fight the raven was very black, and the owl had spotted patches of mud on him. Since then the owl and raven haven't been friends. The swan thought that they were both crazy and left them completely alone. She has never spoken to them since.
