Freaking Out
On a very dark and foggy Halloween night in Marshall, some friends and I wanted to do something fun. We all decided after we got our treats that we'd go up to the old gold mine and have some fun. So Geri, Palassa, Darcy, Carmen, Marcia, Ben, Gary, Angela and I went up to the gold mine with our snowmachines.

When we reached the mine Ben was missing, and Gary went back to look for him. So there were just us girls up there. We went into the big warehouse and made a fire. After awhile, in the back room we heard a voice say"Turn off the fire or the spirits will come!" We thought it was Gary and Ben, so we just left it alone. We started to tell jokes, such as imagine you were an Elan with toenails. We were real loud until we realized someone was knocking on the door. Marcia went to check but there was no one there. Palassa said,"Maybe it's them boys, they're mischief!" So we went to check around again.

We had a flashlight and we went to check the manmade hills. When all of us were on the top, we could see across the stream where there was a fire with three people around it. We thought it was Ben and Gary. But when we went through the trees and across the stream, the fire was no longer there. Then some of us girls began freaking out. We ran back to the warehouse but the door was locked from the inside and we heard a lot of guys talking about hunting and basketball. Angela said that there was a back door and we went back to check it out, and there it was. When we went in though there was no one there and it was real dark. The fire was out. We flashed around with the flashlight and in the back there was the reflection of glowing eyes. We were saying, "Ben and Gary , we know it's you!" Carmen said, "Come out, come out wherever you are!" Suddenly, in the back, Darcy said, "Something is holding my pants!" It was a hand with no arm. Then the owner of the hand came back and said "Will you please give me back my hand?" We were really shocked when we saw an ugly person with big ears and teeth like a beaver. We ran out, but it ran after us and grabbed Darcy. She was screaming for help, but that guy kept saying, "I just want my hand back!" So Marcia took the hand and threw it like a football and shouted, "If you want your hand then go get it!"

Then we went into an old house and made a fire. We all sat on the bed watching a mouse sifting on the table, eating dry fish. When I threw a piece of wood at the mouse, the wood formed into a human skeleton and grabbed me, asking, "Would you like it if I hit you with a stick?" But I told him "Gross, let go of me, and I'll give you a dollar!" The ghost let go and I said, "Oh, I forgot, I never got paid yet!" So I gave him all my Halloween candy then fainted. A few minuites later Angela woke me up and we all decided to go home where we found Ben and Gary at the Halloween dance having a lot of fun.
