A Young Bull

"On September 5, 1998, my brother Moses and I went out moose hunting over in Owl Slough. When we got there we stopped to check this one meadow to take a look around. But we saw nothing, so we started back down to the boat. When we got there we saw another boat coming up the river. The guys that were driving stopped to ask about the moose that they saw walking up the beach.

About half an hour later we started to drift down the river, and we saw a young bull walk out from inside the willows. We both took our rifles and shot at it. It fell down dead within a shot or two. Then we skinned it and cut it up and came home."
