Andy's Namesakes Helped Him Catch

"On September 21 ,1998,Timothy Andrew and I drove up to Devil's Elbow in Tim's boat and looked for moose way inside the slough. We left from Marshall at 4:30 p.m. and got up there by about 5:30 p.m. We were up there for about five hours. While Tim and I were eating, I decided to feed my namesakes. (When someone dies, a baby is named after the person who recently passed away.) I fed them dry fish, crackers, and a cup of coffee. About 15 minutes after feeding my namesakes, since it was getting a little dark out, we started coming home. On our way out of the slough we ran into a bull moose and two cows. We caught the buII moose, and it took us about two hours to butcher it because it was really dark out and we had only flashlight. Then we dragged the meat to the boat and came home. Tim was very happy we caught a moose because he and his girlfriend had been out here every weekend for three weeks trying to catch a moose. I let Tim take the antlers to Bethel with him because they were 32 pointers. I'm glad I fed my namesakes because they must have helped me catch my moose."
