19,999 ft. and 11 inches Below the Sea

Five hundred feet below the ocean's surface a submarine named "New World" was traveling south to intercept a warship named "Sea Dragon." New World's crew were adventurous people and didn't care for the lives of those on warships. When they came close to Sea Dragon they headed towards them at full throttle to destroy their ship. The submarine they were in was built like a bullet and in the front it had a sharp point that could penetrate anything when it hit it at top speed. The men in the ship saw the sub in the water and they all thought it was a monster and started to panic. The sub hit the ship's side and it quickly sank to the bottom. Only a few of the crew lived to tell the story of what happened. People all over the world were terrified of what happened that day and they started to search for the creature that was destroying these warships. Ship after ship went to look for it but they were never seen or heard of again.

Then New World was not seen for a while, until a year later it started attacking all warships in its path. One survivor told of the monster coming at a high speed and crushing the bottom of his ship even though it was made of steel. When they brought the ship up to look at it everyone was amazed at the damage the monster caused to the ship.

All over the world in the newspapers they showed pictures of different kinds of monsters that might have been the one destroying the ships. One day after a professer named Dr. Pod read the article on the monster he decided to go out and look for it. He hired a crew of expert harpooners. The best harpooner's name was Kirk "Head" Jones because he had a really big head. He was paid good money to come aboard the ship to try to kill the monster. They took off in a pretty good sized ship that was also really fast so they could catch up to the monster if they saw it.

They searched for months and never saw a darn thing except a lot of marine life. While they were sailing on a calm day they saw giant squid which were 30-40 ft in length. Once the squids attacked the ship but the men were prepared for them with good harpoons and knives. The battle raged for a couple of hours because the squid were holding on to the boat's propellers. Two men were killed in the battle because they got too close to the side of the boat and the squid were able to reach them with their long tentacles. But Head came to the rescue of many of the other crew members when he cut off the squid's main tentacles. He was very courageous in the fight against the squid and saved many men from the clutches of the giant squid. After their encounter with the squid the crew were more careful about what they did. They also took out more weapons and put them on the deck so that they would be prepared for another squid attack or for the monster that roamed the ocean. But they never saw any more squid after that. Or the monster either.

Since they had no luck finding the monster, the captain of the ship decided to search for it in the depths of the ocean with a submarine. One afternoon they decided to go down as far as they could to try to find the monster that roamed the sea. While they were deep in the ocean they noticed something up ahead of them. At first they thought it was a ship that had sunk to the bottom. But when they got closer it looked like a giant bullet with a very sharp tip. It looked very aerodynamic. Then all of a sudden the bullet started hurtling towards them. They picked up speed themselves and eventually left the bullet behind.

After traveling for some time they decided to surface and rest for awhile because they thought they had left the mad sub behind. But after an hour they suddenly felt a huge bang on the side of the sub. Everyone went up on deck to check what it was. It turned out to be the monster that was chasing them. They started up their motors and tried to outrun the monster, but it caught them because it was more aerodynamic. It jammed into the sub's propellers and caused it to stop. The monster then locked onto the sub and towed it to the surface where a battle took place between the crews of the two subs. It was a bad one and bodies were scattered all over the sea. The water looked like the color of blood. Head and five others managed to stay alive, and when it was all over they joined the crew of the "New World" and sailed the seas destroying warships for the rest of their lives.
