September 2, 8:11 p.m.

After being rescued, I was told to testify against Jack and the rest of the boys. Although I don't really know where to start, I'm going to have to do this for Piggy and the others.

I will be staying here at home for the time being. I'm so glad to be home, even though I'm living with foster parents. This family of three isn't bad at all. I get along well with Angela, the only child. She is nice to me, although she pesters me, but not on purpose. She asks so many questions, but what else could you expect from a five year old kid! She has short, curly, dark brown hair, a light complexion, and baby blue eyes. She's extremely skinny and doesn't take anything from anybody. She tends to be bossy at times, but then ends up acting as sweet as can be. She gets stuff I'd never heard of when I was five. She also plays on the piano every night after dinner. Since I get tired of listening to the same tune, "Happy Birthday to you," I'm teaching her how to play, "Mary Had a Little Lamb." She has a closet full of books and makes me read to her some nights. I enjoy reading her collection of, The Bernstein Bears. Even though I told her why I was living with them for awhile, she thinks Superman rescued me. I'm going to miss her when I go to my own home pretty soon.

Angela's father, Charles (Chuck), says I'm going to be out of here in a few weeks or so. He helps me with my lawyer, although all he says to me is to tell the truth in court and everything will work out for me. Chuck is home a lot because his wife, Kristy, works at a fancy restaurant five blocks down the road. She has the evening shift and hardly gets to make dinner at home. We go down there to eat sometimes. Angela and I sometimes have to set the table and wash the dishes when we eat at home. It's fun because they have a dishwasher, so all I do is set the dishes inside and Angela puts the dish soap in. Then we close the door and wait.

Since I'll be here for several weeks, I'm going to enroll at the nearby junior high school which is three miles up the road. Angela is in pre-school, so I'm going to be on my own. I'm excited about that.

"Angela, are you brushing your teeth?" Kristy hollered from downstairs.

"Yeah!" Angela mumbled as she was flossing her teeth.

"How about you Ralph?" Kristy asks.

"In a minute, I'm almost done!"

I'll have to continue tomorrow. Goodnight.

September 3, 7:00 p.m.

I'm getting tired of Angela playing that happy birthday song, I'm glad she almost got that song I just taught her. Well, it's just another boring day. I'm looking foward to court tomorrow. I haven't seen the guys since they found us on the island. I don't know what to say to Jack since he caused all the bad problems. I hope they find him guilty though. I don' t know what is going to happen to the others, but I'm not going to sit around and see them go unpunished for all that happened. They put me through so much hell!

Sept. 5, 3:15 p.m.

Well, that's the end of the trial. Jack was put in a juvenile detention center and I don't know what happened to the other guys. I guess I'm going to be staying with this family for some time now because my parents want me to finish school here. I don't know what's going to happen to my relationship with the other guys. I know they don't like me that much anymore. They'll probably blame me for the rest of their lives and I don't know what's going to happen to me. I want to go home to my real family, but I'm afraid the others will get after me. I hope I can stay here for at least five more years so the other guys will have enough time to cool off.
