Lord Of The Flies

Part II

My name is Ralph. What if the story had happedened like this?

One night while Piggy, Sam, Eric and I were out hunting for the beast, Jack and his followers came running out of the trees and headed straight for us. We were wondering what was going on. They were yelling, "There is a beast back there in the cave, and it's not too far from our camp site!" Then they stopped by us and started telling us what happened from when they first entered the cave until the beast charged after them. While telling us, Simon saw the beast and started to holler. Right after he hollered, we all ran off back to our campsite.

Not too long after we got to our campsite, Jack and his followers made a circle and started talking. When they were done talking, they all surrounded Piggy. While they were circling him, I was wondering what was going on, so I just stood there and waited to see what they would do to win. While waiting to see what would happen, they all ran off. After they left, Piggy started crying. So I asked what was wrong, and why he was crying? He replied, "They took my glasses and I can't see without them!" Then I told him that we would get his glasses back and for him not to worry.

Not too long after Jack and his followers ran off, Piggy and I went to their campsite to try and get his glasses back. When we got there, Jack said, "We took them because we needed to make a fire." Then I replied, "You guys should've asked Piggy if you could use his glasses instead of grabbing them away."

"Well, if we asked him he probably wouldn't have let us use them. That's the reason why we didn't bother."

"Please give back Piggy's glasses so he can see."

"Why should I give his glasses back to him?"

"So that he can see and not go blind."

"He won't go blind."

"Yes he will too if he doesn't use his glasses. Some people go blind by not using their glasses.

"Well then, here you go Piggy, have your glasses back!"

After getting Piggy's glasses back, both Ralph and Piggy returned to Sam and Eric at their camp. Not too long after they got back, Ralph wanted to make a plan just in case Jack and his followers came back to get something without asking. After making plans, they went to bed.

The next day after they got up, they all had something to do, so they went to work. While working, Sam and Eric saw Jack and his followers coming in their direction. Eric then took the conch and blew it. On hearing it, Ralph and Piggy came running out of the trees. Not too long after they came out, Jack said, "I was wondering if we could work as a group agian because I have something in mind."

"Yeah, what?"

"A plan that might work. I thought we could even help you with your fire because I have a feeling a ship will pass by any time now.

"Ah, let me see what the other guys got to say about. After that I'll let you know about what they say.

"OK. Sounds good. But if things don't work out the way I want them to, can we use Piggy's glasses to make a fire?"

"So that's why you're so interested in working together. Well, you'll have to ask Piggy if you can use his glasses, not me."

Later on that day after I talked with Piggy, Sam and Eric, I asked them if they wanted to work as a group with Jack and his followers because they think that a ship will pass by any time or any day. So they agreed and wanted to work as a group with the other boys. After agreeing with them, the other boys moved into our camp and we all decided that we should make our tent a little bit bigger. Before we started working on our tent, Jack made a fire and than he started making it smoke. While making the fire, we heard a helicopter coming toward our way so we all stopped working and got excited. Just as it was about to pass our camp, Piggy began to cry. Then I told him not to cry because some day we will get rescued. As the helicopter was flying over, it saw the smoke, so it landed to pick us up.
