Anllaq
Bur Reed
Sparganium multipedunculatum

Found in marshy areas on the flatlands of the Delta.

Edible: Yes

Preparation and Use: The base of the reed is peeled and the tender inner part is eaten as a snack. The roots are also eaten after they are gathered and stored in Fall by the mice. By finding mouse nests in the tundra, large amounts of "mouse food" can be collected.
