Six Hours to Mtn Village!

This Christmas vacation I rode around a lot with Willie Paul, and went to basketball games with him and others.

On January 6-8, there was a men's basketball tournament in Mt.Village. The Marshall Assassins were invited to go, so on the 7th I went down to watch. I went with Lena Sergie and we followed Willie Paul. On our way down we brought Fr. Paul to Pilot Station. It took us two hours to get there, although it usually takes no more than a hour. When we got to Pilot we stayed there for about 1/2 an hour. Then we started on our way to Mt.Village. Along the trail we had to stop at St. Mary's to get some gas. The gas station was closed, so we had to buy gas from someone in town. After about an hour we left for Mt.Village. The whole trip took us six hours because the snow machine we were using had a new piston and we had to go slow. While I was there I went to the basketball games and to different places in Mt.Village with Lena. I only went to the gym when the Marshall team had a game. The next day when the Marshall team was eliminated we came back home.

When we got home I went out Slaviqing, which started on the 7th of January. I followed the star for a couple of hours, then we were done for the night. The next day I went with them again early in the afternoon when they started starring again. This time they didn't stop at midnight. People stayed up all night, and never got any rest for a couple of days. It went on this way until the morning of the 13th.

When Slaviq was done I just hung around until school started. Our Christmas vacation was too long and boring because there was nothing much to do, and when there was something to do I did the same old things, like ride around or hang out by the post office with my friends.
