Andy's Christmas Vacation

"I spent most of my time netting for fish. I tried to catch enough fish for the holidays. My sister used the fish I caught for akutaq during feasting. Then I got my sons together and taught them a little about small engine repairs. They took apart their own snowmachine and fixed it, so they would know how to fix it by themselves in the future. They had lots of fun, but it was a lot of work.

My Christmas break seemed like it was only a week long because I had so much fun. We went out fishing (manaqing) to Muddy Lakes, although there was no fish there to be caught. All the fish were gone probably because of the low water. Later I went out to set snares for rabbits where I taught Richard how to snare for them. Now the days are longer, I hope we will get to go out caribou hunting. I really enjoyed my Christmas vacation this year."
