Angeline's Christmas

Angeline says that this year was pretty boring because she didn't do very much. She did attend both Christmas programs though, the school's and, a few days later, the city's. She said she enjoyed both of them, especially the plays. She said the little kids looked cute too when they went up on stage and did the Little Drummer Boy play.

When Christmas came around, Angeline had a big turkey dinner with her family. She spent most of the day with them, and then she attended the midnight mass at the Catholic church. After it was over some of her children opened their presents but others waited till Christmas day. After that nothing much happened besides a manaqing (hooking) trip she took with her husband, Frank, which she says wasn't very good because the trail was rough and there were hardly any fish.

Slavik started on the 7th of January, but it was not very much fun, she said, mainly because hardly any homes fed the people that followed the star.
