Agnes Boliver's Short Vacation

"Right after Christmas, I went back to work at the Headstart where I work as a cook. I worked until the 9th of January before we broke for Slaviq.

During New Year's I went to Akiak for three nights of fun-filled square dancing. They held a New Year's carnival there to which they invited the Marshall Fiddlers to play. We left on the 28th and came back on the 31st. We danced for another two nights here in Marshall. Then on January 2nd I went back to work before we broke for Slaviq.

During Slaviq I went to more houses then I expected to go to, and for that I got a lot of gifts from the hosts. I wished I could have gone up to Russian Mission for Slaviq too but being here was better than nothing. Well that's about all I did. But I had a good vacation while it lasted, which was really only four days."
