3 Fish for Pal

After Christmas, Palassa Fitka thought she needed a break from her sons. And a good way to get them off her mind for a while was to go fishing. So she hopped on her four wheeler and headed for Kuik accompanied by Walter and Dora Pitka and their daughter Shawna, all on one snow machine. The ride up to Kuik was a little over an hour.

When the party got to Kuik they pulled out their manaq sticks and manaqed for a couple of hours. Pal caught three pike, Dora got three, and Walter didn't catch anything. Then they all built a fire and ate lunch. "Fishing was fun and it felt so good to have a meal outdoors in the country," Pal said. After they ate they went back home.
