Leslie Hunter
Owner and Manager

Leslie Hunter was born in Bethel in 1942. He went to school here in Marshall from the 1st-8th grades, and then for his 9th-12th grades he went to Mt. Edgecumbe High School. He then went to U.A.F. for two and a half years. After that he went for R.C.A. training for 24 months and graduated as an electronic technician.

Leslie has been working since 1976 and plans to work only a little longer. He likes his job because he works harder for himself. He started his own business back in 1976 because there were no other jobs in town. He didn't get any training before or after he started his job. He had to learn everything by himself.

The best thing about his job is that he is his own boss. The worst is trying to find someone dependable to work in the store. Leslie has a family and he thinks it affects his job performance positively.

Garrett Even
Temporary Clerk

Garrett Evan was born in Bethel, Alaska, in 1977. He grew up in Marshall and attended Marshall school where he graduated in 1997. He is a temporary employee for Leslie Hunter and hasn't been working there for very long. He likes working there so he can have spending money to buy gas for his snowmachine. Garrett says his job keeps him happy because it is something to do other than sitting around at home. The best thing about his job he says is getting paid.

Leslie Hunter says of Garrett that, "He's reliable, and that's the main part about working."
