Agnes Boliver
Head Cook

Agnes was born in Marshall in 1938. She grew up mostly here in the village and also at their spring and fall camp. She went to school but did not graduate.

She has worked at the Head Start as a cook for seven years and plans to work there a couple more years. She likes her job very much because it is fun. She was first interested in her job because she liked being around little kids. Before getting her job she had to receive Head Start training in room arrangements and discipline.

Agnes feels very strongly that her job keeps her stimulated because she feels she must do everything that needs to be done for the kids, and when she has nothing more to do she gets a headache. According to Agnes the best thing about her job is learning and trying new recipes and the worst thing is when they load her with paperwork.
