Not This Year

"When school was out for Christmas break I went with my boyfriend James to St. Mary's for Christmas shopping. Every year we usually go over to the Kuskokwim for Slavic to visit James' relatives. When we go we travel by snow machine all the way up to Red Devil. But we didn't go up there this year because I was taking care of my daughter Marlene's children. Marlene is still recuperating from a bad car accident she had in Bethel last year. I did go to Russian Mission once for a quick round trip visit, then later I went back there for Slavic.

Some days when I wasn't busy I would go for snow machine rides with James behind Marshall and all over the country. We would also go spend the day at our fish camp. I spent most of my vacation days with my family, though, which I enjoyed."
