Alaska The Wild
Hear our drumbeats roar as we can cry no more.
Come alive, feel the thriving jive.
Let your hair down, drown the years of fears.
The breeze frees, letting the imagination run with fun.
The sky’s the limit, telling no lies,
stars have no demise.
We the People, are not feeble.
Alazsxaq, Alyeska, Alaska is our home, the seas comb.
Hear her heart pounding loud and proud, over and under every cloud.
Creatures of the Great Land, high and low, go with the flow.
On the fragrant tundra of the North, our songs go forth.
In the forest of the South so deep, echoes from the past do seep.
Alaska the wild, unleashes the child.
Run up the hill, take a chill, allow the thrill to frill.
Across the lake, the willows shake.
Great sun, peer down, get rid of the frown.
Drain the rain of my pain.
Ride the ocean swells, take in the spells.
Let Alaska be free, is my plea.
Icebergs, cliffs so high, my soul begins to fly.
If you listen, you can hear them glisten.
Our hearts beat as one with yours, we take up our oars.
Sail away, sail away…until the end of
day.
