Alaska Revealed
Depending on how you
see our great state of Alaska, she is revealed, no longer sealed.
Yet
so much is hidden from view, out of sight, much against my delight.
I
want to see all of Alaska in one swipe, but until then, I cannot
gripe.
From the green ocean of the southeast
to the violent seas of the north, life goes forth.
As I close my
mortal eyes, my spirit freely soars above the demise.
Ride the
waves, listen to the birds and whales sing their songs of plight
with all their might.
People of every corner of Alaska, lift
your drums and release your song, remain strong.
Boundaries divide,
pipes slice and dice, spider webs cover her face, it is a race.
May
the natural bounties continue to provide for our wants as we
take, take, take.
Alaska the Great, she is mightily revealed,
outputting untold freight.
If you dare to care, listen to the voices
of the past, the Elders of today, we must obey.
Tomorrow is only
a promise, for goodness sakes, as Alaska withholds great shakes.
She
deserves respect and honor; her immense powers can only dare
to blare.
Alaska revealed through the promising
eyes of yesteryear, showed no fear.
Alaska revealed through the
proud voices of today, continue, I pray.
Alaska revealed, tomorrow,
without sorrow.
