Buzzy Bumble Bee
"Mom do I have to go and collect nectar for that
queen bee?" complained Buzzy bumble bee.
"Yes of course, you have to. It's a rule, you
know, now get up!" answered Betsy bumble
bee.
"But mom, it's boring. I hate working for other
people! I wish I was on my own! Buzzy
shouted.
"That wouldn't be right. Now get going, scram!" scolded
Betsy. But Buzzy just wasn't the
working type. He was a lazy bumble bee.
"I'm not gonna work for that block headed queen
bee. I'm running away." Buzzy said himself.
So off Buzzy went, leaving his home and his loving
mom in the brightness of the noonday sun. Buzzy was sad that he was
leaving home, but he was mad too.
It was the first time Buzzy had been out alone in
the scary world. He was only familiar
with the small flower patch he usually worked in.
"This is scary," Buzzy said to himself, as he flew
along the edge of the flower bed. Suddenly there appeared a giant
killer bee whose job was to punish young bees for not working. Buzzy
got really scared.
When Buzzy saw the killer bee he around and flew
home as fast as he could. After that he never ran away from home
again. And never again was Buzzy a lazy bumble bee.
