to use as an example of Culturally-based curriculum and documentation. These

Fish
Akutaq
1 white fish (boiled)
3 lbs. Crisco shortening
1 cup Wesson oil
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 gallon berries
Clean the fish and take all the
bones out. Shred the fish meat into crumb -size pieces. Get a large
bowl, add the shortening and oil, and mix well by hand. After you
have mixed it, add the sugar and whip it until you can't feel the
bits of sugar. When you are through, add the berries. The berries can
be blueberries, salmon berries, blackberries or store bought. I
recommend the picked berries. After you have mixed the berries,
freeze the akutaq for about an hour. Then your dessert is ready to
eat.
