Raven Hunts for
Rabbits
One day as I was riding around I saw a
raven. As I got closer I asked it, "Do you want to come rabbit
hunting for a couple of days?" Then the raven replied, "Yes, I would
really like to since I haven't gone out rabbit hunting for a
while."
Not too long after I got ready, he came down
to join me. Then we headed for Goose Island which is located upriver
on the Yukon.
When we got there I set up a tent that was
just right for the two of us. After that we went out hunting for
rabbits. While we were walking along a trail the raven spotted two
rabbits, then chased after one of them as I tried shooting the other
one. After getting the two rabbits, we went hunting again. But we
couldn't catch anymore so we went back to camp.
The next day we saw two rabbits not too far
from my boat, so I loaded my gun, aimed at them and shot them. A
while later we went hunting for more rabbits. After we caught four of
them, we went back to camp where we gutted the rabbits and hung them
to dry on a long branch. In the morning we packed everything up and
headed back home. When we got home we sure had a lot of skinning to
do!
