Spring Camping

This past summer was a lot of fun because I went out swimming, rod and reeling, boating and hunting.

One of my favorite trips was after school quit when we went out spring camping back to Chuelinguk. We went back in two boats. In the first boat there was Glen, Jolene, Henrietta, Angelina, Frank and Loretta. My uncle Patrick and I were alone in the second boat.

We camped back there for a couple of days. While we were back there we saw a lot of beavers along the shore line. It was a lot of fun back there because of all the animals, like beavers, muskrats and waterfowl that were around us. We also camped in other spots on our way back home to Marshall. One of the places where we camped was at Biliagpak. Pat and I pulled his canoe overland to go out hunting and looking for eggs. We took off during the evening because that was a good time to go out hunting. There were a lot of muskrats and ducks in the sloughs and lakes. We only caught a few muskrats and ducks because we were bum shots at first. When we found some bird eggs we put them into a canister so they wouldn't break or crack. When we got back to camp it was just getting dark out.

In the morning we ate some of the eggs that we found and they tasted good. Then we started on our way back home.
