The Ahtna Heritage Foundation Scholarship Program is a supplemental educational program designed to assist individuals of the Ahtna Athabascan tribe who wish to obtain an education to increase their career potential. To qualify for the Ahtna Heritage Foundation Scholarship an applicant must be an enrolled shareholder, in a shareholder's immediate family, a direct descendant or an heir of Ahtna stock. Prominent tradition bearers from the Native community are invited to reside on the Fairbanks campus for extended periods each semester.
