For the past three years, EHP has received funding from the National Park Service's Beringia Heritage Program to translate, transcribe, and develop a management system from a collection of rare, taped interviews with native elders throughout the area. This data represents the knowledge of three indigenous groups in the Region - Inupiat, Central Yup'ik, and Siberian Yupik - and contains a wealth of information about their cultures, traditions and history.
