The Aleut Foundation (TAF) is a nonprofit private foundation that was formed in August 1987. The primary goal of the TAF Board of Directors is to support the economic and social needs of Alaska Natives, particularly those Natives enrolled in the Aleut region, by offering programs that promote their socioeconomic stability and cultural awareness. These programs include: the Scholarship Program, the Job Referral Program, and the Cultural Preservation Program.

Scholarships awarded twice a year, normally in July and January. TAF strives to ensure the continuation of financial assistance until the student graduates, if the recipient meets standards of achievement that demonstrates an application of efforts toward a degree. The aspiration of the TAF Board is to provide each student with education and training that will help them support the regional communities in becoming more autonomous.
