Areas of need include being victims of interpersonal violence with a special emphasis on those disproportionately effected by poverty, welfare reform, and homelessness. The vulnerable populations include minorities (Asian, African American, Hispanic and Native Americans), children, elderly, single and /or low income families and non-English speaking minorities. Several publications including a resource guide to Anchorage and Safety brochure are available (The Alaska Native's Guide to Anchorage).
