The College Student Assistance Program (CSA) scholarship is only one of the main functions of the Higher Education department.? Higher education advocacy to grade school, middle school, and high school students and support to students are also core functions of the department. Additional supplemental scholarships are available for application between the dates of July 1 through September 15. The Alumni Scholarship Assistance Program is based upon fund-raising events held throughout the year, including the Annual Spring King Salmon Derby.? The Juanita Corwin Scholarship is funded through the memorial donations submitted by the Corwin family.?

Howard Rock Foundation: to maximize educational opportunities for Alaska Natives. Scholarships for undergraduate $2,500.00 and $5,000.00 for graduates. Must have financial need; high school diploma or GED; Alaska Native; be enrolled in accredited 4 year undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university; be enrolled full time; majoring in a field of study that promotes the economic well being and quality of life for residents of rural Alaska. Created by Alaska Village Initiatives, Inc. in 1986, these annual scholarships are available to Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate Alaska Native original enrollee of an ANCSA regional and/or village corporation, or their lineal descendant, or a member of a tribal or other organization. Organization applicants are affiliated with must be a current members of Alaska Village Initiatives member.
