Healthy Tlingits and the Traditional Diet
We will explore the recommendations of the MyPyramid Food Chart, interpret the nutrition information on the chart, and review the number of servings to meet the requirements and why. We will look at Tlingit food list and try to determine where they fit on the Pyramid, and discuss the nutrients found in them. We will also present an overview of how the Tlingit people traditionally met these requirements to stay healthy.
